Hammam Al Ándalus Granada

The trip to the Hammam (baths in Arabic) was one of the unexpected and unplanned highlights of the trip. The visit is roughly and hour and a half filled with history, hot pools, cold pools, moroccan mint tea, steaming, lounging, and a large heated rock that we affectionately referred to it as the lizard rock. Semana Santa

Call it Easter, Holy Week, Semana Santa, or the literal translation of Saints week… the Spanish take the week of mourning seriously. It starts on Palm Sunday — the day we arrived. We saw priests wandering the streets with parishioners (in Torremolinos) but nothing else to indicate that it was the beginning of Semana Santa in Spain. Read more »
